In 2011 we kicked off our first Secondary School Series which involved seven schools from around the region; for 2012 we’re hoping many more schools get involved!!

Competing as individuals or in teams – the Mackay Secondary Schools Triathlon Series is gearing up for another great round of competition.

2012 Race Dates:
Race 1: Saturday April 28. 2pm rego, 3pm race – Sarina Beach
Race 2: Saturday  June 16. 2pm rego, 3pm race – Halliday Bay
Race 3: Sunday July 15. 6am rego, 7am race – Balnagowan Weir

The series is open to all schools in the region – Proserpine, Sarina, Moranbah!!!

Categories: Under 15 Girls, Under 15 Boys, Open Girls, Open Boys, Open Teams (can be mixed)

Prizes are awarded for the top three in each category. Plus each competitor earns ‘Championship Points’ that are attributed to their school in the running for the ‘Secondary School’s Championship Shield’ a progressive award that is presented at the end of Race Three.

Each school must have a team coordinator (this can be a parent or a teacher)
Each school must have two volunteers in order for their students to earn Championship Points
Registration forms must be filled out and returned prior to competing
