Swim Squad

Coach: Jenni Bailey
Cost: $5 per session + Pool Entry
Bring: pull-buoy, fins and kick-boards if you have them
Sessions: Tuesday and Thursday 5:45pm – 6:45pm at the Memorial Pool

The squad is keen to encourage all ages and all abilities. Sessions will focus on improving technique and endurance.

Jenni’s Background
Jenni started coaching as a volunteer in 2004 with the Mountain Pool Swimming Club and quickly progressed to assistant coach within the same year. In 2007 Jenni became head coach, and remained in this position until moving to Mackay in 2011.

Jenni holds an Australian Accredited Bronze Coaching Licence including Australian Swimming Coaching and Teachers Accreditation (ASCTA) insurance. She has a current Bronze Medalion (Royal Life Saving), AUSTswim, Criminal History Screening and Responding to Abuse and Neglect, Resuscitation and Senior First Aid certificates.

Jenni’s background includes being a competitive swimmer for 17 years during which she represented South Australia in five State Swimming teams and four State Triathlon teams. Jenni has competed in open water events including 2 OW in New Zealand, medaled at the Arafura Games in Darwin in 1999 and 2001 and was South Australia’s State Female Age Group Champion from 2000 to 2003 for Triathlon.
